A Poetic Storyteller Cut his teeth in the cultural comfort of Chicago, IL with mentors and teachers such as Okoro Harold Johnson, Sam Greenlee, Kelan Phil Cohran, Dr. Margaret Burroughs, & Oscar Brown Jr. Encouraged by Gwendolyn Brooks, he joined the chicago Association of black Storytellers – Ase who introduced him to The National Association of Black Storytellers founded by Mother Mary Carter Smith and Mama Linda Goss in 1982.
